Overview

To create banner ads to promote LearnAsOne which anyone can download for free and add to their website or blog. There are two parts to this project (which may well overlap).

1. Banners to promoting the trip to Zambia in May (one school to donate to) [homepage] Priority

2. Longer-term generic banners (multiple schools to donate to) [school search] [school page] for Summer '09

We are looking for ideas for these banner ads and help producing them. They can be static or animated ideas and we are happy to see roughs, scamps, copy lines or fully worked up designs. There are 18 standard sizes banner sizes and we want to cover as many of these as possible.

Objectives 

- Drive traffic to the LearnAsOne website and encourage people to make a donation.

Key idea

Donate to a school in Africa and see your money in action (through regular videos and photographic updates from the community you are helping).

These updates will come in the form of stories that follow 3 or 4 key members of the community. (e.g. a teacher, the community chief, a student.) Supporters will also get the opportunity to ask these people questions via blog comments and twitter which will be answered through videos posted onto YouTube.

Landing page

- For #1 promoting the trip to Zambia the landing page will look like this.

- For #2 a tailored landing page can be created if required.

Content and design guidelines

- 'Loose' brand guidelines can be found here (includes a link to the logo).

- You can use an imagery from our Flickr stream (plus any other stock imagery you can legally access for free). Imagery is very limited at the moment but this will improve following the first trip in May.

If you want to help out by brainstorming ideas or help to produce the banners then please get in touch via email - volunteer at learnasone dot org and let us know. This page effectively forms the brief but we can answer any questions you have to clarify and expand on it.

All ideas are being uploaded to this page for everyone to see. Other volunteers can comment on your work, make suggestions and you can collaborate on ideas if you wish.
